Head of Finance and Accounting - Delhi Role Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance and Accounting to lead our financial operations and reporting functions. The ideal candidate will bring robust financial expertise, a strategic mindset, and hands-on experience managing accounting teams, ensuring compliance, and driving efficiency in financial processes. This role is pivotal in supporting strategic decision-making and maintaining the financial health of the organization. Location: Delhi, India Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Roles and Responsibilities:Leadership & Team Management:<ul><li>Oversee end-to-end accounting, finance, and reporting functions.</li><li>Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 8–10 finance professionals.</li><li>Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.</li></ul>Financial Reporting & Analysis:<ul><li>Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.</li><li>Present financial data with insightful analysis to senior leadership.</li><li>Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions for variances.</li></ul>Budgeting & Forecasting:<ul><li>Lead the bottom-up annual budgeting and planning process.</li><li>Conduct monthly forecasts to align with business performance and changing market conditions.</li><li>Administer and review financial plans, comparing projections with actuals.</li></ul>Cash Flow & Banking Operations:<ul><li>Manage cash flow forecasting in collaboration with business teams.</li><li>Liaise with banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions for funding, treasury, and operationalrequirements.</li><li>Oversee banking operations and ensure smooth processing of payments.</li></ul>Compliance & Controls:<ul><li>Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements including Income Tax, GST, Companies Act, and others.</li><li>Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls to safeguard assets and revenue.</li><li>Coordinate and lead internal and external audits.</li></ul>Payroll & Accounts Oversight:<ul><li>Review and approve monthly payroll.</li><li>Supervise accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and other core accounting functions.</li></ul>Strategic Support:<ul><li>Support the CFO in board meetings and strategic financial discussions.</li><li>Prepare dashboards and reports highlighting trends in financial operations and delivery models.</li></ul> Role Requirements:<ul><li>A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.</li><li>Proven leadership experience, preferably with prior team management.</li><li>Strong manufacturing industry experience preferred; fintech exposure is an added advantage.</li><li>Hands-on experience with audit coordination, financial planning & analysis, and statutory compliance.</li><li>Proficiency in financial systems, ERP tools, and advanced MS Excel.</li><li>Deep understanding of Indian tax laws, corporate law, and financial regulations.</li><li>Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.</li></ul> Education:<ul><li>CA / CMA professional degree.</li><li>Prior Experience in a fintech or financial services organization is a strong plus.</li><li>Exposure to digital financial tools and automation is an added benefit.</li></ul> Work Schedule: Monday to Friday Salary: Competitive and based on experience.
