This unique opportunity is perfect for individuals passionate about joining a progressive, community-focused police department in one of the world’s premier resort destinations. Selected candidates will attend the 612-hour Police Academy at Colorado Mountain College’s Spring Valley Campus in Glenwood Springs, fully sponsored by the Town of Vail. You’ll receive $38.75 per hour during the academy and, upon successful completion, POST certification, and departmental vacancy, you’ll have the opportunity to join the Vail Police Department as a full-time officer. You must align with the Vail Police Department’s core values: <ul><li>Integrity</li><li>Excellence</li><li>Collaboration</li><li>Leadership </li></ul>You Should Also Demonstrate <ul><li>A strong work history in a related field.</li><li>60 credit hours from an accredited college or university (BA or BS degree preferred).</li><li>Exceptional communication, public relations, problem-solving skills, and guest service orientation.</li><li>A high level of integrity and professionalism.</li><li>Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are highly preferred.</li><li>21 years of age or older at the time of academy graduation. </li></ul>Applicants must pass a polygraph, psychological evaluation, drug screen, background investigation, and physical abilities testing.
