Project Manager - Government Events
Our client (one of India's topmost event management company) is looking for a multi-talented Project Manager who can take complete ownership of government event projects — from the stage of enquiry and proposal to final execution.
Role Overview
The Project Manager – Government Events will act as a key point of contact for state government clients and related agencies. The role involves leading project discussions, preparing and presenting proposals, coordinating internal teams, and ensuring smooth end-to-end delivery of large-scale events.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Client Coordination
- Manage and respond to government event enquiries and RFPs.
- Participate in project discussions with government departments and nodal agencies.
- Understand client requirements and develop creative, cost-effective solutions.
2. Presentation & Proposal Development
- Coordinate with design, creative, and production teams to prepare compelling event presentations and proposals.
- Present concepts and plans to clients confidently and persuasively.
3. Execution & Delivery
- Oversee end-to-end execution of approved projects, ensuring quality, timelines, and compliance.
- Supervise vendors, on-ground teams, and ensure alignment with design and technical specifications.
- Manage event budgets and project documentation.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with design, production, admin, and accounts teams for smooth project execution.
- Coordinate with government representatives, security agencies, and external stakeholders.
5. Reporting & Review
- Track project progress, report key milestones, and identify potential risks or deviations.
- Ensure post-event documentation and reporting.
Key Requirements
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Event Management, Mass Communication, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in event/project management, preferably with government projects.
- Strong presentation, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Good understanding of event production, logistics, and operations.
- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and project tracking tools.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹720,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
