Description About the Role : We are seeking a talented and passionate Backend Engineer to join our fast-paced engineering team in Noida. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Golang, PostgreSQL, and Data Structures & Algorithms, with a proven ability to build scalable, high-performance, and reliable backend systems. This is a hands-on role that requires strong problem-solving skills, solid coding abilities, and a deep understanding of backend architecture. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps, to design and deliver robust APIs and backend services that power our applications. Key Responsibilities <ul><li>Backend Development & Architecture : </li><li> Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Golang.</li><li> Architect and implement efficient, reusable, and modular code that aligns with system design principles and business goals.</li><li> Collaborate with frontend and mobile teams to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. </li></ul>Database Design & Optimization <ul><li> Design, manage, and optimize PostgreSQL databases for high performance and scalability.</li><li> Write complex SQL queries, manage indexing, and ensure data integrity across systems.</li><li> Implement caching, query optimization, and data modeling best practices to enhance application performance. </li></ul>System Performance & Scalability <ul><li> Build and maintain high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems that handle large-scale data.</li><li> Optimize application performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement robust monitoring and alerting mechanisms.</li><li> Ensure backend services are reliable, fault-tolerant, and secure. </li></ul>Data Structures & Algorithms <ul><li> Apply strong knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, and System Design to solve complex engineering challenges.</li><li> Write efficient, optimized, and well-tested code adhering to best practices.</li><li> Participate in design discussions and technical reviews to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions. </li></ul>Collaboration & Process <ul><li> Work closely with Product, DevOps, and QA teams throughout the product lifecycle.</li><li> Contribute to code reviews, design documentation, and technical discussions.</li><li> Participate in agile ceremonies and ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases. </li></ul>Required Skills & Experience <ul><li> 3 - 4 years of hands-on backend development experience.</li><li> Strong proficiency in Golang and its ecosystem.</li><li> Solid experience with PostgreSQL - database design, indexing, optimization, and query tuning.</li><li> Excellent understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.</li><li> Experience in designing and consuming RESTful APIs or microservices architectures.</li><li> Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and collaborative workflows.</li><li> Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with attention to performance and scalability. </li></ul>Preferred Qualifications (Good To Have) <ul><li> Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS for deployment and scalability.</li><li> Familiarity with message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) or event-driven architecture.</li><li> Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and agile development practices.</li><li> Understanding of security best practices in backend development. </li></ul>Soft Skills <ul><li> Strong analytical and logical reasoning capabilities.</li><li> Excellent communication and teamwork skills.</li><li> Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</li><li> Ownership mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality, production-ready code </li></ul>(ref:hirist.tech)
