We build systems that help businesses operate smarter through elegant engineering and data-driven insight. About the Role We are looking for a talented Shopify Front-end Developer to join our team. You will play a key role in building, customizing, and optimizing eCommerce websites on the Shopify platform. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Shopify theme development, Liquid, and modern front-end technologies, with a strong eye for detail and performance. Responsibilities <ul><li>Develop and customize eCommerce sites on the Shopify platform.</li><li>Build custom Shopify themes from scratch.</li><li>Extend Shopify’s functionalities using Storefront APIs, Liquid programming, metafields, and custom scripts.</li><li>Integrate third-party and platform-supported apps into Shopify stores.</li><li>Ensure page speed optimization and implement SEO/CRO best practices.</li><li>Create responsive, cross-browser-compatible website designs.</li><li>Develop and deploy backend systems as necessary for Shopify operations.</li><li>Work with the GIT version control system.</li><li>Troubleshoot and debug across devices and browsers.</li><li>Maintain documentation of themes, components, and workflows.</li><li>Stay up to date with Shopify platform updates and new features.</li><li>Thoroughly QA all work before submission.</li></ul> Requirements <ul><li>Strong knowledge of the Shopify platform.</li><li>Expertise in Shopify theme development and customization.</li><li>Expert-level knowledge of the Shopify Liquid templating language.</li><li>Proficiency in working with different Shopify JS APIs.</li><li>Expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.</li><li>Knowledge of Tailwind CSS.</li><li>Knowledge of backend APIs (GraphQL, REST) and integrating them into Shopify.</li><li>Thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.</li><li>Strong understanding of responsive web design techniques.</li><li>Understanding of W3C web standards, semantics, and accessibility guidelines.</li><li>Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.</li></ul> Nice-to-have <ul><li>Backend experience with Python/Node.js and GraphQL.</li><li>Experience building apps for Shopify (App Bridge, Svelte/React, PostgresDB).</li><li>Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS.</li><li>Experience with AI Tools and a willingness to learn.</li></ul> Why Join Arbot: This is an opportunity to work with a dynamic, fast-moving team solving meaningful engineering challenges at scale.
